Touloucouna is an imposing tropical tree mainly found in the Casamance region of Senegal (between 20 and 35m in height and approximately 1m in diameter)

Its fruit is shaped like a large capsule that falls when ripe and releases seven to nine nuts resembling chestnuts that are pressed to obtain their oil.

Long forgotten, Touloucouna oil is increasingly used in cosmetics because it has a real invigorating, emollient, and nourishing value. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids like Omega 6, Vitamin A, and antioxidants.
